Section 25 (2)-A Must provide instruction and supervision and (2)-h- take every reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of workers

Section 26 (1) - L Must carry out training programs for workers, supervisors and committee members as prescribed.

Penalties

• Employer Fines up to $500,000
• Supervisor Fines up to $25,000 per offence
• Jail sentences up to 2 years.

Powered Lift Trucks

OHSA Guidlines For The Safe Operation and Maintenance of Lift Trucks -"provide information, instruction and supervision to a worker to protect the health or safety of the worker"

CSA B335-04 - Operators must be certified every 3 years and evaluated every 18 months. .

WHMIS

OHSA Section 42-(1) an employer must ensure training for workers exposed to or likely to be exposed to hazardous materials.

First Aid

The Workplace Safety and Insurance Act Regulation 1101 - a minimum of 1 person per shift must be certified in First Aid and always present. It is highly recommended that several people per shift trained to ensure a certified first aid person is always present.

Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)

Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act Everyone from the persons handling paperwork to truck drivers must be trained and certified every 3 years.
